PRP Treatment

The Latest Anti-aging Treatment that Utilizes Your Own Plasma

What is PRP? Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a serum that can be applied topically to the skin during Radiofrequency Microneedling treatments. PRP is collected by taking a sample of the patient’s own blood, spinning it in the centrifuge to separate the plasma from the red blood, and drawing up the plasma into sterile syringes for application. The growth factors in the plasma contribute to improving the results observed from a Microneedling treatment. This innovative treatment can be used to improve the appearance of acne scars, sunspots, fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, surgical scars, hyperpigmentation, large pores, and more, making it a powerful treatment option for patients looking for total skin rejuvenation.

What are the Benefits of a PRP Treatment?

  • Improve Tone and Texture

  • Correct Sun Damage

  • Treat stretch marks

  • Diminish appearance of scars

  • Reduce lines and wrinkles

  • Repair lost volume

How does PRP work?

The human body has a remarkable ability to heal. This is partly credited to tiny little cells in our blood called platelets. Platelets play a key role in the natural cell regeneration process. When tissue gets damaged, platelets release a flood of growth factors that trigger tissue repair, cell renewal, and production of collagen.

Platelet Rich Plasma therapy, or PRP, is a highly advanced treatment that infuses the skin with plasma and blood platelets to accelerate healing, promote cellular regeneration and improve the structure of aging skin.

What Is the PRP Facial procedure like at Aesthetics by Summit?

PRP is an enhancement to your Microneedling with Radiofrequency Treatment.

  1. Your blood will be drawn before the procedure and spin while your face is being numbed for the Microneedling portion of the procedure

  2. PRP is placed onto your skin before or after your Microneedling treatment – or both

  3. PRP serum is kept on the face until next morning and then gently washed off with lukewarm water/cleanser

What Can I Expect After my Procedure?

Recovery: Adding PRP won’t add any additional downtime to your Radiofrequency Microneedling Procedure. It may actually speed up the healing process.

You can expect to see results the first week, more improvement over 2 to 3 months and the effects can last 10 to 12 months depending on aftercare!
